Improvements

I think that if you added videos to watch instead of just reading for the Myth-folklore class like the Epics of India it would be good. Sometimes it gets boring to read and if you had videos to watch it makes it more interesting and captures out attention. Plus it is also easier to understand some of the harder stuff since we can see it. I liked having some videos option in the Epics of India class, it made hings easier and I definitely enjoyed having those options.

Reading Notes: The Grimm Brothers' Children's and Household Tales

The Grimm Brothers' Children's and Household Tales translated by D. L. Ashliman (1998-2013)

The little red riding cap was definitely interesting to read and not at all what I was expecting. I could write about how the wolf caught up to her in the woods and what they talked about there. I just wonder why he did not just eat her there. No one would have caught him there. I think I would change the ending though so that they do not have to open his stomach and rescue them but rather save them before they get eaten by the wolf.

Reading Notes: Household Stories by the Brothers Grimm

Household Stories by the Brothers Grimm, translated by Lucy Crane and illustrated by Walter Crane (1886).

I could write about how Aschenputtel managed to escape from the prince each night and the adventures. I could also write about the task her step-mother gave her in thinking that she would never be able to finish them. Then add the part about how her friends the birds would always come and help her out no matter what she needed help with. The way her step-sisters tried to fit the show on and how she managed to end up with him after all.

I could write about Snow white and the four times that her step-mother tried to kill her because she was so beautiful. Snow-White was most definitely not the brightest or at least naive since she always fell for the old lady even after almost dying so many times. At least in the end snow white finally got peace once her step-mother died and finally managed to leave the poor girl alone

Reading Notes: Italian Popular Tales: A

Italian Popular Tales by Thomas Frederick Crane (1885)

I could write about how the beast had pretty much blackmailed the girl into staying with her. He did the same with when he asked her to marry her since her father was dying. It was interesting how she didn't have to love her in order for him to transform. I could write about the life she had there and what she went through during her time in captivity.

Reading Notes: The Story of Beowulf: B

The Story of Beowulf by Strafford Riggs with illustrations by Henry Pitz (1933).

I could write about the battle Beowulf had with the dragon for his treasure. The great battle that occurred where both of them died in but at least Beowulf's people got the treasure from it. He ended up with a crown and died right there in the cave. The treasure ended up burning on the pyre of Beowulf as he had earned it with his death.

I could write about the things that Beowulf went through in the water race and the creatures that he fought to stay alive. I could also write about the guy that challenged him and have some conversations with them so we can see what kind of people they were too. He was really big and strong so we can also include some accidents that occurred because of it too.
